*Cotto may hire a new trainer

OK, now. Now he's going to hire a new trainer. Now. After the biggest fight of his career. Now. Yes. When he needs it the most. With Cotto Sr. no longer around, hiring a new, more experienced trainer is the best career move he can make before resuming his fighting career, wether it is at 147 or 154 (hopefully at 154). Why do I say this? Because Cotto Sr. was part of the reason why he went with Joel Santiago, instead of steering completely away from his family.  Wether he goes with Buddy (McGirt) or Ronnie (Shields), can't go wrong with either or. Why now? Well, even though he made up with Evangelista (his former trainer, his forever uncle) during Papa Miguel's funeral, they still won't reunite. Instead, Cotto will go in the right direction. Santiago? He'll remain in Cotto's corner, I don't see why not. But a trainer like Buddy or Ronnie means that there will be Miguel Cotto for a while. I hope he does move up to 154, and, if he can beat Foreman, maybe he can garnish enough victories in that division to retire on top. Could he beat a Sergio Martinez, or a Cintron, or even a Perro Angulo? We won't know until we see it, but I'd say, again, why not?

PS: Last I heard, Papa Trinidad is available, also, that is if Cotto wants to keep it somewhat familiar, and if Papa likes the offer.

Cotto would be right to change trainer now

In fact he’d be mad not to. In preperation for the Pacquiao fight Santiago did his best but a lot of people got the impression that Cotto was really training himself, not exactly adequate preperation for big fights.

Who will Cotto hire?

So sad to hear the passing of Cotto’s father hopefully Miguel can get himself the proper trainer although I honestly can’t see him being able to do much against Martinez and Cintron maybe Angulo but really what will it prove not much maybe Cotto should consider hanging his gloves he’s done all he could he can’t get any better

Papa Trinidad sounds like a good choice yet I can’t see him returning to boxing unless he’s offered big time money or working in his sons corner and we know Felix “Tito” Trinidad ain’t coming back at least I hope not as much as I was and will always be a big “Tito” fan
