Ungainly underdog Carl Froch embarrassed Arthur Abraham last night at the Hartwall Arena in Helsinki, notching a lopsided unanimous decision in a fight that was over the moment the opening bell rang. Official scores were 120-108, 119-109 and 120-108. With the win, Froch picks up two points and takes second place below Andre Ward in the Super Six standings. He also put the boots to oddsmakers and critics alike. Well, most of them, anyway.

Before the fight, Rachael Cordingley derisively referred to Abraham as "The Midget King," but even a midget might have put up stiffer resistance than Abraham did last night. This was St. George slaying the Geicko Gecko and not necessarily the stuff of legend. Abraham, 167 1/2, is known for being stingy with his punches, but this was an absurd performance. With his high guard, shuffling feet, and reluctance to lead or counter, Abraham was little more than a laggard in the ring and was too flummoxed to do anything but let Froch, 167, have his way with him from bell to bell.
