Statue of Joe Louis Erected in Alabama
An eight-foot bronze statue of "The Brown Bomber" Joe Louis will be unveiled Saturday in the International Boxing Hall of Famer’s hometown of LaFayette, Alabama.
Residents of the town of approximately 3,000 people managed to raise nearly $60,000 over a span of three years to pay for the sculpture to be built. Read the rest here...
