I have no doubt that Manny will win, the method is 50/50 imo. I expect the fight to be hard and close for 4-6 rounds. Clottey doesn’t have much power in single shots and he will be defending more than countering.

When Josh tires Manny will take it up a notch. I’m going to lean ever so slightly to pac by late TKO, lets say in ten. Clottey has an excellent chin, but I see him getting overwhelmed late and this one gets stopped with Josh on his feet, but with no chance of winning.

BTW, WAR CASTILLO!

Pacquiao - Clottey

I basically agree, point by point, with Mark. Clottey won’t leverage his advantages enough to win. He never has, and at this point, we have to presume he never will. He’s B Class, Pacquiao is A. I also think Clottey is stoppable contrary to popular belief. Cotto had him pegged against the ropes and hurt, I think Pac could take it a step further.

The one possibility for Clottey is his penchant for head butting. That could throw Manny off his game, and all blood testing jokes aside, Manny IS bothered by his own blood. Just re-watch Morales I.

My guess is, Pac wins by clear decision, and Clottey somehow finds an excuse to peg his loss on again.

I’m pretty much in agreement with Mark and Jeff. Pacquiao will win but it’s just a matter of whether he can stop Clottey or not. I feel that Clottey may have to hang on for grim life in the later rounds but will be tough enough to survive. I’ll take Pac via a wide decision around the 118-110 mark.

Pacquiao by a close decision unless the judges are blind

I say Pacquiao’s speed will be the key factor to winning tomorrow night. Clottey better keep the pressure on Pacquiao all night. Clottey better not even think about taking his foot off the pedal like he’s done so many times before. If Clottey can keep constant pressure and work Pacquiao’s body he might just be able to beat Pacquiao. Clottey is lucky to have Lenny De Jesus working his corner because as we all know by now De Jesus has worked with Pacquiao in the past. De Jesus knows Pacquiao’s bad habbits. The problem is De Jesus can give Clottey all the advice on how to beat Pacquiao but will Clottey listen?

In the end I see Pacquiao winning simply with his speed alone not to mention his quick feet that will keep him bouncing all over the ring as he always does. I just don’t know where Pacquiao gets so much energy?

I just hope the judges score proper because I got a feeling Lederman will be scoring every round for Pacquiao. Harold Lederman is blind as a bat.

Give me Pacquiao 117-112

Clottey will be very annoyed about this but will have no real grounds to be so.

I wouldn’t be suprised if Pac turned out to be the incredible hulk in a very good disguise. - Sigidy

I think it's going to be very competitive...

If Clottey had better stamina, I’d be very tempted to pick the upset, but at the very least I think he’ll give Manny the toughest fight he’s had since Marquez.

I just don’t see Manny landing the kind of hard counters against Clottey that he did against Hatton and Cotto. The openings just won’t be there, and I think Clottey’s ability to land his right hand (and the way he jumps in with it sometimes) will make Manny more cautious than we’ve seen him in awhile.

I think Manny should win, but I’ll be surprised if this turns into the battering some have suggested. I’m expecting to see Manny do just a little more in most of the rounds, and probably pull away late when Clottey typically tires.

Another factor that has been mentioned frequently leading up to the fight is the chance of a clash of heads. As an aggressive southpaw, Manny’s certainly no stranger to banging heads and is always at risk…and we’ve seen cuts cause him problems against Morales and Marquez in the past. Clottey’s last fight also featured a collision that left Cotto with a nasty cut.

If it happens tonight, I have a feeling Manny will be getting the worst of any collision… and it could change the whole dynamics of the bout.

I'll take Pacquiao by decision, but...

I think this will be the hardest fight he’s had since Marquez or Morales. It’s almost guaranteed to go 12 rounds, IMO.

Clottey is big, strong, tough and defensively responsible. Manny is going to have a hard time finding holes to land the really big shots he’s used to. I’m not convnced he could hurt this guy with his best shot anyway.

Pac’s biggest advantage, other than speed, is the fact that he uses angles to set up his punches. Clottey fights only in straight lines, meaning he goes forward or back. No head movement. That’s going to cost him.

I see Manny getting roughed up, but winning more rounds on his way to a bruising, but clear unanimous decision win. He’s going to be tried as hell by the time it’s all over.

Clottey is too lead-footed to win this fight, and I don’t think he’s all that comfortable fighting lefties.

Tough fight

I agree with the two gentlemen above me.

Clottey’s the most well rounded fighter Pac has fought since Marquez, and while his punch output leaves a lot to be desired, I doubt he simply becomes a punching bag down the stretch like many are suggesting. He’ll be fighting until the end, and Pac’s likely to have compromised vision.

I won’t call an upset but it should be a very good fight.
