Around the Net: Timothy Bradley & Alfredo Angulo Post-Fight Edition
Bad Left Hook - Saturday Night Roundup: Bradley dominates Abregu, Angulo wipes out Alcine
Bradley (26-0, 11 KO) called out Manny Pacquiao after the fight, but also made challenges to 140-pound contenders Devon Alexander, Amir Khan and Marcos Maidana. Bradley would likely be available for a November 13 date with Pacquiao, but as we all know that's not in Top Rank's plans, as they intend to promote either a rematch no one wants to see or a fight against a guy that a major portion of the boxing fanbase has no respect for anymore.
The pattern was clear fairly early -- the far quicker Bradley would connect with big rights when he led, then counter with big lefts when Abregu did. He would hit Abregu hard enough to wobble him every other round or so, although he also didn't connect as cleanly as he might have if he didn't get sloppy like he did.

Angulo, who was in outstanding shape after bringing in strength and conditioning coach Darryl Hudson for his training camp, hurt Alcine with the first left hand he landed. And when Alcine tried to fend Angulo off later in the round by holding his left arm, Angulo simply started whacking him with the right. Eventually, Angulo pounded Alcine into the ropes and was smashing him with both hands. Alcine was basically out on his feet when referee Lou Moret jumped in and called it off with one second left in the round. It was an excellent stoppage by Moret and a tremendous performance from Angulo, who continues to improve.

"[My new trainer Darryl Hudson] is excellent. He likes to work very hard and very strong just like I do. I thank him a lot, and we worked on this and the combinations and everything came out well," said Angulo. "[Alcine] was hurt, and he wanted to grab me and hold on because he didn't want to go down, but even if they grab me, and I have one free hand, I'm going to keep on throwing punches."
Boxing Scene - Berto vs Bradley Clash Will Be Explored Says DiBella
BoxingScene spoke with DiBella to get his thoughts, and Big Lou is planning to speak with Berto and manager Al Haymon about a potential fight with Bradley in the fall. "I'm willing to make a fight with Berto and Bradley right now. Let's be honest, Bradley is not getting a fight with [Floyd] Mayweather or [Manny] Pacquiao, and Berto is not getting a fight with Mayweather or Pacquiao," DiBella told BoxingScene. "Bradley showed that he can perform at 147. He looked great tonight. What does Bradley have to lose?"
